Job Description

Our client, Project Management Advisors, Inc. (PMA), is looking for experienced and enthusiastic Project Managers. Our project managers are the primary interface with PMA’s clients and lead the client and project team through the full cycle process of planning, design and construction of new buildings from the ground up, tenant improvements, strategic real estate planning and facilities assignments. Project Managers with experience in the security technology industry are needed in multiple locations including:

  • Richmond, VA
  • Forest City, NC
  • Newton County, GA
  • Huntsville, AL
  • Menlo Mark, CA
  • Los Lunes, NM
  • Eagle Mountain, Utah
  • Prineville, OR

The ideal candidate will possess a high level of self-confidence, a natural ability to lead, and an ability to foster effective communication in team environments. The candidate must have experience managing project teams successfully through both the design/pre-construction and construction process and must be able to create and manage the Project Budget and Schedule. The successful candidate will also have experience in Strategic Real Estate Planning, Entitlement and previous experience working as an Owner’s Representative or Project Manager representing the interests of the real estate owner or tenant. Additionally, excellent interpersonal communication and client relations skills is a must, as is the ability to have developed and maintained long-term relationships with clients and construction related professionals. The ideal PM will also possess a positive attitude and collaborative approach.

Job Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field is required; advanced degree or certifications are preferred
  • A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Information Security Compliance and Risk Management principles as they are applied in the context of a broader understanding of Information Security systems and processes
  • Resolving multi-faceted problems by continuously applying significant independent judgment and by collaborating with others
  • Ability to successfully navigate unforeseen circumstances and sudden changes
  • Contribution to the development of new subject matter or technical domain specialization related to Information Security Compliance
  • Encouraging improvement and innovation within Information Security Compliance and nurturing and developing less-experienced staff through coaching and written and verbal feedback
  • Experience with Physical Security or Security Systems such as CCure or Genentech is a plus
  • The ability to demonstrate skills in managing successful projects; meeting client expectations and timelines
  • Using knowledge of technology, products and services to build enterprise networking solutions.
  • Measuring and ensuring network performance by maintaining adequate monitoring/alerting solution
  • Researching current technology, and provide ongoing updates to management, peers and network users about enhancements and innovations.
  • The ability to maintain professionalism in the face of deadlines; exhibit good listening, negotiation and problem-solving skills; and to handle confidential information with discretion and trustworthiness
  • A demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • A motivated self-starter with a high level of personal integrity and business ethics who thrives in a team environment
  • A demonstrated ability to interact with, and develop, long-term relationships with clients and other business partners
  • Excellent time management, communication, organization and personal effectiveness skills, as well as good computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Visio, and Project) and web-based project management tools
